Weekly-ish Running Update... 3 Good runs!
I was quite up for running last week so I opted for 3 runs (along with 3 circuit sessions), rather than 2 runs and 4 circuits, I was just up for getting out there, what can I say!
This is the first time this year I think I've done three runs in a week, probably because it's getting lighter now so I can get a full run in the light if I get out at around 7.20, rather than having to start off in the dark!
Sunday 25th March Standard 5K
I took advantage of it being a weekend to get off to a later start... around 9.00 to 10.00 is so much more preferable to earlier in the morning.
5Ks in 24 mins 30 secs, that's OK, getting faster as I progressed, as usual!
Tuesday 28th Feb Standard 5K no.2
A 7.22 start, after a brief warm up, my earliest run this year, it was COLD! Slightly slower than the previous, but only by 10 seconds, I just didn't push it as much towards the end!
Friday 1st March: Intervals
The same route as above, set off at around 7.20 again, and this route lends itself naturally to some mixed intervals. After 3 warm up intervals of around 2K we then have...
2* 6-800 meters 85% effort.
1* 250 meters. As fast as I can go.
2* 400 meters. These are as fast as I can go.
I could/ should (?) add in another couple at the end - by that point I'm at my local park which lends itself to some more 400s!
Next weeks plans...
I've got a busy work week this week, so I'll set a low bar at 2 runs, I might end up doing three, if it's nice weather!

Don't you warm up while running despite cold?
TBH I just start off slow!
Good stuff. The weather has been so variable lately, but lighter mornings help. I think 3 or 4 runs each week is enough as you need some recovery time.
