Weeklyish Running Update... Cold then Wet! (And too much beer!)

I had a bit of a funny week this last week - was in London all last weekend, travelled back Monday, had some beers when I got back, then more beers Thursday and Friday, so the two runs I've done I've crammed in between sessions.

One last Tuesday and the other this Sunday just gone, it was really a matter of getting them in when I could dodging the very cold and then very wet (but at least warmer) weather.

TBH at this time I've year I am just celebrating having got them in...

Tuesday's Run - a cold 5K

I went out at around 13.00 for this - it was as warm as it was gonna get and it was actually OK - nice and sunny and kind of average pace...

Sunday's Run - A third of a run...?

I've no idea why my Garmin only started working two thirds of the way through this run properly, at least the mapping part of it. For the first two thirds it was just giving me an average pace based on I'm not sure what, just my footfall maybe...?

It did a pretty good job, it was about 5% more generous than it should have been, but not too far out, and then it kicked in two thirds of the way around and revealed that I had been going a tad slower than usual - not surprising given the incredible amount of beer still being paid from Friday...

So I have a third of a run...!

Next weeks plans...

Nothing other than to try and get back into good habits once again, fully get back into the 5-6 workouts a week while working!

Now that's gonna be challenge enough!

The weather has been a bit against us lately. After the cold it's gone really windy. I'm happy I got out a couple of times.

Actually I'd forgotten about the wind - Jan and Feb can be rough!

It gets really cold, man. On rainy days there's no way I can go running outside, I prefer to exercise at home instead. Good luck to you 😅
