Mission Impossible : My Biggest Treasure Hunt at Minetest

I am the citizen of Neoxian City, the city which never sleeps, the city of looters and yes, I have proved myself as one of the looter in the city many times. The best looting happened through treasure hunting. It all started when we moved from Element to Discord channel in Oct/Nov 2022 as per the instructions of Mr. D and for the first time for me, Minetest was introduced and in no time, I just got addicted to it. Why not, there are several reasons for it and one of the main reason is treasure hunting.

There were too many minetest giveaways and mega giveaways by Mr. D and citizens kept on hunting and found them to win amazing gifts. But the City of Neoxian Puzzler by Mr. Ray shared through weekly paper on 7th Nov 2022 was one of its kind. He clearly intimated that this treasure chest will be hard to find and may take months of searching to find it, 1 hive will add in it on daily basis till it’s found.

The big treasure hunt started from the day first. Minetest server of Neoxian is huge and endless, as we were unable to find any clues, we the citizens were looking all over the place for so many days but no luck at all. It was tempting but not looking easy at all. After a month, almost everyone just forgets it or gave up but Mr. D occasionally keep on reminding citizen for this treasure chest.

I won’t say I didn’t get fed up, yes, at times, I feel really frustrated and exhausted because I usually give couple of hours on daily basis in the beginning but as time passes by, it went to half an hour then twice a week only. I explored different faraway places, saw jungles, deserts, mountains, beaches, ancient tombs and much more.

Mr. Ray once gave a hint/clue in the form of book which was in his house in one of the shelf. It was funny but I really wanna tell you the truth that I didn’t get a bit of those words. It was quite hard to understand what Mr. Ray wants us to tell or give hint. It was about Hell and heaven. That is what I understand from this clue. Mr. Ray has very delicately build his house with elevators and different floors, basements, beach hut and much more. Almost all minetesters of Neoxian City have deeply searched down the whole house but didn’t get any other hint, just that book.

We all don’t know anything about heaven but yes, there was a door to Hell in the house of Mr. Ray. Me and Xabi bhayya once spent almost couple of hours together in Hell to hunt down that treasure chest but unsuccessful. Hell was too big to explore, it looks scary as there are monsters as well who rushed to you and eat you all. I died there couple of times. Everyday, I enter minetest with positive attitude but after spending some time in there, I gets frustrated and feel very bad. Sometimes in frustration, I damaged Mr. Ray’s property for which I apologies to him as well.

The good thing was I didn’t gave up even after so many failures. Mr. Ray then started giving hints in weekly paper as well. Now, I get energetic once again and started hunting with new mindset. I thought we gave too much time in Hell, let’s search for heaven. There was a place called Palace heights, I started flying around that place and then I found a chest just above the clouds. I thought I did it but there was a book with a clue in that chest. It says you need to search in Hell, I just didn’t remember the exact words and unluckily, I lost all the books of hints. I got the clue and I rushed to Hell once again.

No one can imagine how deeply I was involved in this game, it was like some kind of task to me. I spent hours in the hell but no luck. Then @shrazi told me that this Lava can be removed through water source. Wow I didn’t know that, I just removed all lava immediately with water source and cleared water source as well, now it was all blocks. I started smashing and breaking those blocks all around. It was a lucky day for me, second day of 2023. I saw a chest inside there. I was like I am gonna die now lol. Once again, there was a clue book inside that chest. It says something like: you need to check in the water near my house. This is what I understand from it. There was a word in the book “doused” which I googled and tried to understand the logic. This book was lost too.

So, after getting all the hints, it was clear that treasure chest is near Mr. Ray’s house. I was feeling crazy and numb at the same time. All the citizens have already searched near his house, beneath water, sideways, upside down everywhere. Funniest part is surrounded area near Mr. Ray’s house is badly damaged, there was too much of smashing. Torch lights were present beneath water, in ancient tombs, caves. I was hunting down near his house nonstop suddenly, I saw a chest behind the block which I recently smashed and broke into pieces. WOW, WHAT IS THIS? I am surprised, overjoyed to see it. Finally, the treasure book was in my hands. Unbelievable, treasure hunt which was looking mission impossible finally got found by ME. The moment cannot be described or shared in words, it was amazing. I screamed shabhai, I did it and then, took a long breathe to stay calm and informed in the channel. Mr. D asked to wait till Mr. Ray confirms it however, it looks clear that you have won it.

The best thing is compliments from Mr. D after hunting this big treasure, it’s the amazing feeling. The book says congratulations! 100 Hives is yours! Wow I was super excited and super happy. After all the conversation with Mr. D, I fall asleep but got to know in the morning that Mr. Ray confirmed to gift 170 Hives for this treasure hunt. No words, a big thank you to Mr. Ray for his generous and kind attitude plus now it looks it was not that hard hahaha. My new year started too well for me, hope to see much more in coming days 

This story of treasure hunting shows that nothing is impossible, you just have to show some courage and believe in yourself, you will achieve the goal someday but you have keep patience and strong enthusiasm with long lasting Hope.
