A mango a day keeps your weakness away

Well, I framed that, ya, mangoes are full of energies, isn't it ? I would say you get instant energy, if you eat one organic delicious mango. This tree is beside our temple and the last two photographs are from my window. The tree blesses me with few mangoes every day, when I go to pluck flower at 5 a.m. I wonder, from where the yellow ones drop - must be somewhere inside. I keep few at the temple, and then bring few for me. A mini cyclone gifted me a lot of mangoes at one shot, but compared to what you see in the tree, its still negligible. Sometimes I feel I should borrow that tool from our neighbor and pluck directly, but then I give up that idea thinking that all the people in the society will be behind me :)

This is a local variety and is completely different to any other variety that I have eaten. Its full of flesh but full tight, even after fully ripen - unlike the other ones, whom you can squeeze. So we enjoy every bite, with this variety of mango. And no middlemen, so fully organic. Just bring and keep for couple of days at home, its ready to be consumed. Unfortunately, the mangoes that we buy from market comes with chemical powders sprinkled over them. I am yet to buy any this year, but if you are buying, make sure you soak them in water for few hours. At least it will reduce the effect to some extent. I am sure, nobody cares about the health benefit of mango - I know it's difficult to resist. However, be cautious not to eat many, at one go. Unless you are using that energy :)

Which variety you like the most ?

Ohh my hod..look at the colours..naturally ripped taste better and now I am dying for it....it's been ages since I had them. Directly plucking from the tree and squeezing the juice taste totally differrnt.

True, unless someone has tasted, they will not know. And interesting fact is that, they will not be damaged very soon, I mean, even after being ripened, they will still be good for 2-3 days. The ones that comes with chemical will not survive like them.

Agree....in my area we hardly get those riped mangoes ...because the kidd were too naughty to take them away..but nothing could be done...it reminded me of my childhood.....I was same too 😉

I like the type that mostly looks green on the outside but ripe on the inside. We call it sheri mango in my native language, but this variety looks the same but it's a little round, the one I'm talking about looks more spherical and big and it's probably the best I've ever eaten.
The ripe ones here are really colourful.

Does that come in all season ? I have seen that type when I was a kid. They are very big and super tasty - one mango will make your lunch. Nature's color is definitely amazing.

They come two times in a season, April and August, it's big like you said and very juicy. I have a tree in my aunt's compound.

Then it's the same one I am talking about. I have not found out a tree in recent times.

Now is the time to eat mangoes. Mangoes are in abundance at this time. And mango is one of the most delicious fruits in the world. However, apart from storms, we can still find mangoes under the trees here.

Hello dear friend @sanjeevm good day
What a beautiful view you have from your window, you can see from there where the yellow mangoes are
You do very well not to take everything and share with society.
That yellow mango looks exquisite that you enjoy it a lot

You're having a really great mango season, for me I traveled out of town when the mangoes in my compound first ripened when I got back others had eaten all the ripe ones. Just before the next batch ripened I traveled again and I haven't gone back till now. All the mangoes I've eaten I have had to buy, but not go worry because organic fruits are really easy to find in Nigeria.

@sanjeevm I understand what you mean by having the whole society behind you when you're plucking mangoes😂, it's funny, they come in trickles and soon you have to share all the mangoes among them 😅

Unfortunately i haven't many option to choose! Mango is imported in Greece and according to one colleague who had try one in Kenya, as he cut it from the tree, the mangos which we buy in super market are several levels lower in taste and aroma! May if one day visit India i'll try your favourite variety

Anything that is imported will have additional tax burden and that must be the reason, the affordable ones might not be the best quality. I am sure, if you come to India in summer ( June), you will find so many varieties.

Around my house there are a lot of mango trees especially from the neighboring residences that are on the sides and usually the mangoes fall in the parking lot, that's why we are used to eating mangoes, it's delicious and once you eat one, you want to eat more!

I like Mangoes so much. There is a green one, it's so sweet. It's look as if it's not ripen, but that is natural color !

A few mangoes every day sounds like it would cure much of the world's problems!

What a give to have nature linger in urban centers and produce decoration and sustenance. Fresh from the garden is always superior to the store where it was sprayed with poison and bounced down the road for hours.

Apparently, the strawberries we grow in our garden are better than any ones available anywhere. Maybe because of the care we put into nurturing them.

Esteemed @sanjeevm in all the populations of Venezuela at this time of the year, the mango is one of the best fruits that we have, and with which exquisite candies and mango jellies are made. It is a very tasty and nutritious fruit. I wish you much success in your mango publication containing very effective vitamins for health. I express to you that in the home where we do not have food, many times we feed on it. Hugs from Venezuela.
