Neoxian City: Writing Prompt #1
I am so looking forward to the Neoxian prompts becoming very popular on hive. This is the first prompt and if you like, you can click the link above and attempt to write a prompt. The early birds get some juicy votes.
If you could create your perfect year – how would it look?

When I look back at my life, the years that have passed by
was any year perfect for that matter?
I am not sure if there was total happiness in a year at all.
Childhood was full of school assignments and family visits
a full battle against Tonsils
As I grew up, I had to grapple with teenage issues
and felt lonely as the world seemed different to me
did I ever belong? I am still not sure
losing a parent and struggling for money
yet happiness was never an issue
as we had friends many
the invisible hand of God
the blessings always visible
year after year passed
Internet came and friends apart
so, life is still a mystery
the moment is now
for us to enjoy
If I could create a perfect year?
I believe in God and fate and so I am not sure if I have the power in me to create a perfect year. Yet, this is an answer to the first prompt on Neoxian city by our very own @momogrow and so I will try to answer it to the best of my ability and imagination.
If I were to create the perfect year, I would at first try to create the perfect place to live. A city that has all amenities. A city that has perfect roads, with houses that are furnished beautifully.
Of course, this is not an attempt to socialize and I am not a communist either. People would have the gadgets to reach out to health care and other such facilities for whatever they need or want. Those people would be the ones that deserved this position, obviously.
Please do not mistake this as an attempt to copy that movie the name I forgot depicted a perfect heaven. This is not that at all.
The perfect city would have all the modern amenities that we in developing countries can only dream of. It is not impossible and can be slowly brought about. People may wonder if countries like Ethiopia can ever progress and if it is possible or if the warring nations can ever reconcile.
Are the people condemned forever? Are the children on the streets of Mumbai always to be poor and depicted so on charity pages for the rich western people to donate money and mostly usurped by scammers?
Reality is a bit different if you look closely. There are people who suffer even in the rich west. Money is not the criterion for sure happiness. Money doesn't make your life perfect as was proved by the recent pandemic.
So, my idea of a perfect year would be to meet my loved ones and have a jolly time. It would be to tour the world and see different places and enjoy sights that I have only watched on the television and have a healthy lifestyle. Also to grow vegetables without the help of pesticides and to nurture the environment around me. It would also be my dream to grow on Hive and to help new people board this wonderful blockchain.

As you said, being poor does not even remotely translate to being sad. I have seen some of the poorest people living with smiles all the time. Sure, they will be much better equipped to deal with life if they have more money.
