My Wednesday Walk & Make me Smile Entry along the Sacramento River
Hello, beautiful people!!! Thanks for being here!
Wednesdays are so special. It is that day in the week when I can join all of you in @tattoodjay's most famous Wednesday Walk Challenge.
@tattoodjay takes many photos of the beaches around his area, and I enjoy viewing his photos so very much! Why? Well, it is because I love the water! I grew up going to the beach almost every day, and when I move to California, I lived in the Sunset District of San Francisco just a few blocks from Ocean beach.
There are numerous cities and towns along the coast of the Pacific Ocean in California. Unfortunately, the town where I live is so far away from the ocean.
However, my home is less than five miles away from the water: The Sacramento River. The Sacramento River separates Sacramento (the capital of California) from the county where my town is located.
Yesterday, I drove along the west bank of the river. Driving the two-way single lane road was very scenic.
Unfortunately, the road had narrow shoulders and no place to stop and park my car so that I can take photos of the places along the river that I intended to share with you.
For today, I want to share a tiny spot on the west bank of this 447 miles long Sacramento River.
The river is not wide at all. The water was so inviting! And as I was taking the photo, I actually wanted to just jump in and swim to the other side, LOL!

Luckily for me, there was not a single soul along the river where I was. Yup, I too, am working from home for two weeks. It was great to be able to go out and just drive to the river yesterday.

I was doing beach or park walks if it wasnt crowded, but with my lung issues my Dr advised to stay indoors if the dust of pollen count was high so I am checking that each day, and so far it has bene high but one day I will get out for a walk soon :)
I may not be !DERANGED but I share deranged tokens, similarly I don't drink !BEER anymore

I sure will. I think that I will show a portion of the river on Wednesdays. During summer, the motorboats [some are speedboats] and Jet Skis are out. They are a sight to see!

My walks have been in the dark with not much to mention along my route, when I get off around 8 am on the route back there's not much either.
I'd need time off on this tight schedule just to have a catch up day or two and really enjoy the outdoors and fresh air. And those Tax Returns, I should retire out of this voluntary work as there are now free services elsewhere for low Income individuals.

Tight schedules and shifts can make it challenging to go outdoors and get some fresh air. Trips and walks to the LCS can be very enjoyable. That is a great idea, have someone do your taxes for you. I know my other friend find it easy using apps. And since I am not savvy with those, I just have to have a professional do it for me. Don't you wish that the IRS and its counterpart in your country offered the services for free? ummmmm.... that may have a downside, hehehe.😂
