🗑️ Picking Up Trash For The Future School 🏫
This morning has a soldier told our family and villagers to come and help pick up trash and clean up the land on the mountain near our village to build a school. Because our village is far from school and some children do not go to school. That's why there are donations from philanthropists to build schools there.
He told us to go at 8:30 in the morning. My husband took us to that place and he came back home because he said, he late to do Asan Hive.
There was a family that used to live on that land, but was evicted by the state and forced to move out of the land three weeks ago because they lived on state land. After they left, they left a lot of plastic litter on the land, but they also had a lot of crops.
Some are picking up trash, and others are cutting down the bamboo and the undergrowth.
After we cleaned the ground, we rested under a mango tree and talked. While we talking and I saw roselle flowers. Then I picked its seeds for growing at my land. I also picked a few plants for growing at home.
They burn wood and other rubbish together. Justin told us before leaving the house that he knew for sure that the Cambodians would burn plastic garbage there, so everyone had to stay away from the burning place. Yes, it is true that it is common for people in rural areas, and we used to tell them that burning plastic waste is not good for health, but they do not care.
Then we went home and I called Justin to pick us up, but his phone did not ring and I tried to call my brother and uncle, but they did not answer. We walk with our neighbors all the way home. It was almost an hour that we walked, it was lucky, it was the way down the mountain, so we were not very tired, but my legs ached a little because I had not walked for a long time.

It's good to read that you and your neighborhood are helping each other. It was a good example of unity. Burning plastics was also prohibited in our place, but some are also don't care about it. 🤗
Yes some people here they care about it but some people they don’t care. They don’t know that burning plastic can cause cancer. Have a nice day.

I would've also picked some of the seeds/plants for my own garden if they were going to destroy it all and a school in the area might help a lot of kids.
