Movie Myths Shattered: Love at First Sight Exposed
I am someone who loves watching movies, and as I have learned in movies, there is a thing called "Love At First Sight". I keep wondering how the chemistry gets developed from just seeing a person. I was made to believe that I could hit a person, then drop off her items, then pick up the items together, and as we get up, we rise looking into each other's eyes, fall in love, and then live happily ever after.
This whole scenario is what I was made to believe in movies, but the truth is that life does not happen like that. And I don't think everything they tell in movies is true, just like the way people dodge bullets in movies and having a man beat up 15 armed men while being unarmed. They are all lies to create a sense of entertainment for us, as we have a need to see something different and out of the ordinary.
Not to drive too much away from my main topic of discussion, I don't believe in Love At First Sight. I believe that Love takes time to build. It takes me more than liking your physical appearance to be able to sacrifice anything for you, unless I am doing it due to my kind nature.
Although it is possible to get attracted to someone at first sight due to how beautiful or handsome the person may be, This should not be counted as love; this is mere infatuation or crush, as it is based on just the physical appearance of the body.
As I said earlier, Love is built over time. It goes way deeper than just being attracted; it involves actually caring about a person's state of being, understanding and respecting the person even when knowing their flaws. It goes as deep as having an emotional connection to be able to share joys and sorrows, supporting each other through thick and thin. Not just when things are alright for you or the person.
Anything that does not involve all these is certainly not love. It is mere infatuation or just based on Crush. Although these feelings have the capability of leading to Love after some time spent knowing the person, this certainly proves the point that Love At First Sight is certainly not a thing.

I usually suspect anything easy.
Love is not easy, it's a sacrifice, a fire that needs to be fanned and kept burning. Love does not come easy. It's like a seed, germinates only after a while, nurtured with commitment and infact, never to be stopped nurturing to be kept alive.
Like you said, attraction is easy and that's why we can be attracted to even 10 people of the opposite sex in a day but our brains does a quick reset to someone we love

A lot of people have been fooled about being loved at first sight, they blush unnecessarily at the hands of those whose might is to destroy them.
It never happened and won't, the highest that can happen is being attracted to some probably because of their physical features and others but not love.
Yes oh... those guys out there who spit out lies are there to eat, and clean mouth then move to the next target.
I totally agree with your opinion on this subject matter, movies as painted love as though it's something that can happen within a few seconds.
On the contrary what was brooded then is just like, attraction or infatuation.
Love takes time to erupt in one's heart.

Lol... talking about love being blind, I believe in that. There are things I would never do for people but when it comes to the one close to my heart, I would not hesistate to help the person.
A lot of people are carried away with what they see on movie and so they practicalize it in real life expecting a good result. Love is built over time, I do not believe in love as first sight, it's a mere infatuations as you said. It takes time for a true love to be build.
