Let's Make Homemade Oat Milk

Hello guys....

Today I will make and share a simple recipe for making homemade Oat Milk. How to make it very easy and with ingredients that are easy to get too.

I got this recipe for making oat milk from the Cookpad site, where we can get various kinds of recipes, and if I look from this site I'm interested in recipes that have plant-based ingredients. And my main goal to make this oat milk is for my diet program, so far I eat oats using full cream milk and it seems like there is no change. So if you make oat milk like this, maybe it can help me on a diet.

Ingredient

  • 100 gr Oatmeal (can be replaced with rolled oats)
  • 3 dates
  • 500 ml cold water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
  • half a teaspoon of salt

How To Make

  • Separate the dates from the seeds.

  • Put all ingredients in a blender, then blend until smooth.

  • If it is smooth, then strain the ingredients that have been in the blender using a fine sieve. And the result of the sieve is the liquid that will become the oat milk.

  • Put it in a container, I will use a glass kettle to make it easier when I want to drink it.

  • You should store oat milk in the refrigerator, this milk can last up to a week.

  • And of course you can drink it right now.

Okay, let's taste this homemade oat milk that I made, it's very delicious and definitely better to drink like this than eating oatmeal with full cream milk normally. I only used a teaspoon of sugar but the taste of this milk is sweet, maybe from the taste of the dates, so if you don't like milk that is too sweet then no more sugar is needed.

I drank a glass of this oat milk and it was very filling, half a glass would have been enough. This is very suitable to be drunk in the morning, and of course also suitable for diet. If you usually eat oatmeal, you will feel disturbing oat fibers, then this oat milk has nothing like that, it's the same as drinking packaged milk.
