From Market to Table! 🥬🍅🥒🍋🌶️ Seasonal salad! 🥗🧑🍳
Today was the day of the village market! I love the days when the market is organized and I always try to make time to go. I find the freshest and organic everything here. I haven't eaten very healthy for a few days because I ran out of fresh vegetables and fruits at home. I didn't want to go to the markets because the produce wasn't fresh. I came to the market very early in the morning and did my shopping. Look how fresh the produce is!
After I did the market shopping, I immediately came to the store and washed the vegetables I bought in detail and left them for a while to dry. For dinner, I wanted to make myself a seasonal salad because I needed to eat a healthy and light diet. I feel very happy and peaceful when I eat salad. It is so light! I often prepare this recipe at home, I use whatever vegetables are in season. I add plenty of lemon and olive oil and it is incredibly delicious. I will try to show you how I prepare it in detail below, I hope you like it!
Necessary ingredients ;
- Green lettuce
- Tomato
- Cucumber
- Carrot
- Lemon
- Olive Oil
Preparation ;
First of all, I wash and dry all the vegetables in detail. Then I first finely chop the lettuce and add it to the salad plate.
I chop and grate all the ingredients in turn. I combine all the ingredients in the salad plate.
Finally, I add lemon, olive oil and salt and mix. And it's ready! It actually seemed like it took a very short time while I was explaining it, but making salads is a bit tedious. It takes a while to wash all the products one by one, but the result is worth it!
I love such colorful plates, they appeal to both the eyes and the stomach. It was a recipe that I think salad lovers like me will love. Please try it and send me a photo, it would make me very happy.

Easy and delicious! I can't wait for summer to make such salads. Luckily, we have garden, so I hope that this year there will be not many visits of farmers market even though I love it 🙂

My biggest dream is to have a small garden! I live in the city center and it is almost impossible to find a house with a garden here, or rather very luxurious, unfortunately. We live in a city too, but we have a community garden with 100 parcels and we managed to finally buy one 🙂 It's about 2 km from our home, but we can easily get there by bike or by car. We're so excited! But having a house would be a dream 🙂
Yes, it's such an innocent dream, isn't it? Just living in a house with a garden with my dog. I don't know which country you live in, but I'm sure it's nice just to go somewhere by bike. I'm happy for you. Maybe I'll leave the city and move to a small town. But I live in Istanbul and it is a very magical city and I can't leave it. 🤷🤦🌸🌱
Oh, I live in Switzerland, so it's very different to Istanbul. It would probably not work with a garden like ours over there 🙂

Wow, Switzerland? My brother-in-law was there last month and he is amazed every time he goes there. He travels there all the time for work. I've never been but I know what a beautiful country it is and Istanbul is an amazing city! Once you live here, it is impossible to leave. I love it here so much! 🙏🌸🤍

Hey @trouvaille I bet going to shop for all theses fresh veggies is a refreshing experience. I see the rates are displayed but a lot of times people like to bargain and this a part of shopping in some parts of the world.
Is bargaining for price also a part that you see and experience in your village market ?

Prices are fixed in the market, but sometimes vendors offer lower prices to sell their products. In general, everything is very expensive in the country I live in lately. Even the simplest needs have become a luxury.🤷

You do not have to register for leo threads separately since this is a part of hive only though you would need to login to via hive keychain.
