Hey amigos mochileros, viajeros y excursionistas, como estás? Tenía mucho tiempo inactivo en Hive y sobre todo en esta comunidad que me encanta tanto, pero por fin he vuelto para compartir con ustedes algunas de mis experiencias de este hermoso viaje a Santa Rosa de Cabal, un pueblo de eje cafetero de Colombia.
En este pueblo hay sitios turísticos muy bonitos los cuales les mostraré luego, como las Termales de Santa Rosa, el paseó del Café,los arroyos y ríos aledaños, y las basílicas que son de los principales atractivos turísticos.
En esta oportunidad viniste el centro del pueblito, la basílica y otras 3 Iglesias, además de conocer las calles y algunas comunas que realmente me parecieron muy lindas.

Hey friends backpackers, travelers and hikers, how are you? I had a long time inactive on Hive and especially in this community that I love so much, but I'm finally back to share with you some of my experiences of this beautiful trip to Santa Rosa de Cabal, a town in the coffee axis of Colombia.
In this town there are very beautiful touristic sites which I will show you later, such as the Santa Rosa Thermal Springs, the Coffee Walk, the surrounding streams and rivers, and the basilicas which are the main tourist attractions.
In this opportunity you came to the center of the town, the basilica and 3 other churches, besides knowing the streets and some communes that I really found very nice.
Les cuento un poquito sobre Santa Rosa, es un pueblito con un clima realmente fresco, la temperatura promedio es de 19° aproximadamente, aunque esta semana estuvimos entre los 17° por la noche y 27° por la tarde. Es típico clima de montaña nublada, la vegetación por la carretera principal es increíble muchos sembradíos de café, plátano y árboles realmente altos, abundan los helechos, musgo y "barba de palo" conocida por crecer en los árboles.
Está ubicado en el eje cafetero por lo cual es un pueblo donde la economía de basa en estos cultivos, aunque también hay mucho turismo y comercio, se encuentra entre Chinchiná y Pereira.
I tell you a little bit about Santa Rosa, it is a small town with a really cool climate, the average temperature is 19° approximately, although this week we were between 17° at night and 27° in the afternoon. It is a typical cloudy mountain climate, the vegetation along the main road is incredible, many coffee and banana plantations and really tall trees, abundant ferns, moss and "barba de palo" known for growing on trees.
It is located in the coffee axis so it is a town where the economy is based on these crops, although there is also a lot of tourism and trade, is located between Chinchiná and Pereira.
Las calles son típicas de un pueblo andino, inclinadas y muy antiguas, todavía se observan algunas casas coloniales pero están construyendo constantemente en varias zonas, edificios o inclusión remodelaciones.
El atractivo principal es la Basilica Menor de Nuestra Señora de Las Victorias, que sobresale al llegar y se puede observar desde varios puntos de la ciudad, se ubica frente al Parque de Las Araucarias (también Plaza Bolívar).
The streets are typical of an Andean town, sloping and very old, some colonial houses are still observed but are constantly under construction in several areas, buildings or inclusion remodeling.
The main attraction is the Basilica Menor de Nuestra Señora de Las Victorias, which stands out upon arrival and can be seen from several points of the city, is located opposite the Parque de Las Araucarias (also Plaza Bolivar).
El guía nos mencionó que está Basílica comenzó a ser construidas al rededor del año 1870 y tuvo remodelaciones y aplicaciones años posteriores, incluso actualmente están remodelando y una parte está cerrada al público. En el año 2005 fue declarada patrimonio.
El interior es el madera, con candelabros antiguos que tiene al rededor de 40 años, y desconozco la altura al techo pero se ve realmente imponente al entrar.
Tiene acabados muy bonitos del estilo europeo, imágenes de los respectivos santos religiosos, y acabados en cristal. No hice mucho detalle ya que estábamos en hora de misa y creo que era un poco incomodo para todos.
The guide mentioned to us that this Basilica began to be built around 1870 and had remodeling and applications years later, even currently they are remodeling and a part is closed to the public. In 2005 it was declared patrimony.
The interior is wood, with antique chandeliers that are about 40 years old, and I do not know the height to the ceiling but it looks really impressive when you enter.
It has very nice European style finishes, images of the respective religious saints, and glass finishes. I did not make much detail since we were at mass time and I think it was a little uncomfortable for everyone.
En el parque las araucarias hay distintos puestos de comida rápida, frutas, dulces, y ventas de artesanías donde los turistas compran recuerdos. El parque en época decembrina es muy llamativo ya que suelen adornar todo con luces y es realmente un espectáculo, en el centro se encuentra una estatua homenaje a Simón Bolívar, libertador de Colombia. Y hay figuras de aves que representan la fauna del lugar.
In the araucarias park there are different stalls of fast food, fruits, sweets, and craft sales where tourists buy souvenirs. The park at Christmas time is very striking because they usually decorate everything with lights and it is really a show, in the center is a statue tribute to Simon Bolivar, liberator of Colombia. And there are figures of birds that represent the fauna of the place.
Unos cuantos metros más arriba se encuentra el Santuario Nacional de la Virgen de la Medalla Milagrosa, que también es un atractivo turístico aunque estaba cerrado, la iglesia por dentro tiene acabados en cristal muy bonitos que contrastan con la luz le llaman la Iglesia de Cristal y es una de las más antiguas del pueblo. El camino es un poco largo ya que la carretera es muy inclinada y la subida es larga es un poco incómoda y al estar tan alto nos cansamos un poco.
Frente a este sitio hay un café y una plaza donde podremos disfrutar del ambiente, la vista y el clima. Al igual que el respectivo representativo yo amo a Santa Rosa.
A few meters above is the National Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Miraculous Medal, which is also a tourist attraction although it was closed, the church inside has very nice glass finishes that contrast with the light is called the Crystal Church and is one of the oldest in town. The road is a little long as the road is very steep and the climb is long and a little uncomfortable and being so high we got a little tired.
In front of this site there is a cafe and a square where we can enjoy the atmosphere, the view and the weather. Like the respective representative I love Santa Rosa.
Aunque este fue el recorrido de un solo día planeo ir a otros sitios con igual valor turístico, y esto lo haré en compañía de mi hermano quiero recorrer muy bien este pueblo para ver sus secretos y sitios más bonitos. Para luego ir al siguiente que sería Chinchiná o Manizales, espero que puedan acompañarme en los siguientes y espero capturar lo mejor de estos sitios.

Although this was the tour of a single day I plan to go to other sites with equal tourist value, and this I will do in the company of my brother I want to go very well this town to see its secrets and most beautiful sites. To then go to the next one which would be "Chinchiná" or "Manizales", I hope you can join me in the following ones and I hope to capture the best of these sites.
