Today I am gonna review OSHUUR CONSTANTIA; first of the six special airdrop characters from Riftwatchers sale. I have already reviewed the second airdrop character, KAIN HACE.

OSHUUR CONSTANTIA, the first Riftwatchers sale airdrop character, is a promo legendary monster belonging to dragon splinter. My overall impression of this guy is positive. To be honest OSHUUR is pretty good and unlike KAIN isn't a total disappointment.

Lets dive into its abilities and stats to discuss pros and cons:

OSHUUR CONSTANTIA's physical stats are above average. It starts with a magic attack of 2, reaching a peak value of 3 at maxed level. There is no shield what so ever. Health remains constant at 6 through all levels. Speed also remains same at a low value of 2 throughout. The physical stats can be rated as average for a 7 mana cost.

Although physical stats aren't that much impressive but when coupled with abilities OSHUUR CONSTANTIA turns out to be a decent monster. Resurrect ability starts right from level 1. And the important Reflection Shield ability comes at level 2. From level 3, all much needed Tank Heal ability also come in effect.

Pros

Looking at the stats and abilities, the biggest pro of OSHUUR CONSTANTIA is its Reflection Shield along with Tank Heal ability. This makes it a perfect one down monster for Taunt tanks. It can keep on healing the Taunt tank without taking blast damage.
Resurrect ability is an added benefit, as OSHUUR is the only dragon monster with this ability. Imagine working so hard to take out enemy tank, only to see it getting resurrected by OSHUUR.
The average health of 6 is sufficient, considering the refection shield ability prevents it from Blast and Magic Reflect damages. The magic attack of 3 is an added benefit and can be further improved using DELWYN DRAGONSCALE.
In Reverse speed ruleset, the low speed of OSHUUR gives it added advantage.

Cons

The biggest disadvantage of OSHUUR CONSTANTIA is its low speed, making its attack to miss out against high speed Phase ability monsters.
Also since it lack Camouflage ability, so it can be an easy target for Snipe, Opportunity and Random Strike monsters.

Alternatives/Substitutes

There are no other Dragon monsters with Resurrect ability except OSHUUR. So Resurrect makes OSHUUR irreplaceable.
Moreover OSHUUR's is also the only dragon monster with Tank Heal(Kitty being a summoner). But since you can find Tank Heal in all the splinters you wanna use with Dragon, so Tank Heal should not be a big concern. But it indeed is an added advantage.
As far as Reflection Shield is concerned, RUNIC SKYCLAW also possesses it and as does many other monsters from other splinters. So only Reflection Shield doesn't also make OSHUUR irreplaceable.

Price

Due to unique combo of abilities it offers and no more future minting OSHUUR CONSTANTIA is a hefty priced beast. The lowest bcx cost as of now is $28.90. Gold Foil version costs $180/bcx. I expect the price to increase even more in future, since being a promo guy no more OSHUUR will be minted ever.

Closing Thoughts

Looking at OSHUUR CONSTANTIA, one can say it is a decent enough monster to acquire. Combo of some nice abilities makes this guy a game changer in most of the dragon splinter battles. So, paying $30/bcx for this guy is actually pretty much justified.
