RUSTY ANDROID... A Battle For The Old Times Sake

Time for the SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge.
When I saw RUSTY ANDROID for this week's battle challenge, my initial thoughts were to skip the challenge for this week. But latter I decided to bear with it, just for the old times sake.
It's been a while since I faced RUSTY ANDROID in battle, let alone use it. I used to use the guy in my early gaming days, but as I progressed to higher league, it became irrelevant. The only ability RUSTY possesses is Magic Reflect. RUSTY ANDROID might have been a great card in early splinterlands days when Magic Reflect monsters were scarce, but now with plenty Magic Reflect monsters(even summoners) available to choose among, RUSTY ANDROID have lost its charm.
I owned level-7 RUSTY ANDROID for quite sometime, but didn't bother upgrading it, since I never use it...not anymore. For now, it is just sitting in my collection, collecting Rust and Dust. But nothing in splinterlands is worthless. With upcoming Land Expansion and Buildings, Rusty can regain its lost worth as a maintenance guy.
Most buildings will also require some existing Monster and Summoner cards to "work" in them in order to function, so you may want to hold off on burning your hordes of Rusty Androids!
Currently there are 73,254 normal foil RUSTY ANDROIDs in circulation, costing 0.12$/BCX. Gold Foil RUSTY ANDROIDs are less abundant with 2,025 in supply and cost minimum 3.80$/BCX.
Here is the all time price trend of Normal Foil RUSTY ANDROID, courtesy SPLINTX. Surprising to see the recent surge due to this battle challenge.
Favored Battle Rules
RUSTY ANDROID can be used in all battle rules that allow magic attack. But it is most suited for Rise of Common and Lost Legendarie rule set, as it is no way near to the other Legendary or Epic tanks.
Placement
RUSTY ANDROID is suited upfront and on one down positions to reflect the magic attack. It can also be used on last position to thwart off the magic sneak attack.
How to Use
RUSTY ANDROID can be complemented in variety of ways using summoners or other monsters.
RUSTY ANDROIDbeing a neutral monster can be used with all kind of summoners. Best summoners to complement RUSTY areTHE PEAKRIDER,MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE,LIR DEEPSWIMMER,DRAKE OF ARNAK,TYRUS PALADIUM,LORNA SHINEandMYLOR CROWLING.
( MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE's void can make Rusty a bit more resilient. I wish to use it with MIMOSA, once opportunity presents.)
- Shield from Protect ability monsters can provide extra protection to
RUSTY ANDROID.
RUSTY ANDROIDneeds to have a healer helping him to survive.- It can also use Repair ability monsters to mend shield acquired from Protect ability monsters or summoners.
Defense
The best way to kill RUSTY ANDROID is by using heavy melee and ranged attack.
MY BATTLE USING RUSTY ANDROID
To be honest, it was quite difficult to come up with a winning battle using RUSTY ANDROID. But after a few tries, I won a battle using RUSTY.
This was a 25 mana battle with two battle rules, Reverse Speed and Healed Out. Only three splinters were allowed; Fire, Life and Dragon.

MY LINEUP
TYRUS PALADIUM
Since I plan on using RUSTY upfront, so I though of using shield from TYRUS PALADIUM summoner would be a nice idea.
RUSTY ANDROID
I tried my luck with RUSTY ANDROID because from enemy's previous battle submissions the chances of heavy frontal assault were quite low.
FURIOUS CHICKEN
On one down position, I placed the free mana monster, FURIOUS CHICKEN. It can absorb one or two hits costing nothing, so why waste it.
SILVERSHIELD ASSASSIN
Next, I placed my favorite life monster, SILVERSHIELD ASSASSIN. God, I love the Double Strike and Poison abilities combo.
ARMORSMITH
Then came the Shield Repair guy, ARMORSMITH. In the absence of healing, Repair is the least I could do for my weak tank.
PARASITIC GROWTH
On the second last, I used the Opportunity monster, PARASITIC GROWTH. It is always a good idea to have at least one Opportunity monster in your team.
CRYSTAL WEREWOLF
On the very last, I placed CRYSTAL WEREWOLF. I love using this card as a Sneak protection, because of the Thorns ability. And also don't forget about the Silence ability.
BATTLE ANALYSIS
The battle went as planned. RUSTY ANDROID held is ground sufficiently enough allowing my ASSASSIN to do the damage. Also placing CRYSTAL WEREWOLF as sneak prospector was proved worthwhile.
