Hello Splinterlands Addicts
Today, I am gonna talk about my favorite Legendary Monster CHAIN GOLEM.
CHAIN GOLEM is one of the most fierce tank in whole of the Splinterlands. Even the mighty Lord Arianthus fears him.
CHAIN GOLEM has powerful melee attack with great health and shield. It has awesome complementing abilities like Shield, Void, Piercing and Stun. The combination of these abilities makes it one of the most fierce tank. Being neutral makes it even more readily used monster.
CHAIN GOLEM is currently trading at 4.5$/bcx, but I think it will considerably appreciate once it's printing ends.
When to Use
Since CHAIN GOLEM costs 8 mana so it works best in 20+ mana battles, but can also be used in smaller mana cases with special battle rules.
How to Use
CHAIN GOLEM being a tank, is best suited upfront to absorb the enemy frontal assault and also inflict heavy damage. There are some adjustments that can greatly enhance the lethality of CHAIN GOLEM.
1. Complementing it with monster having Heal and Repair abilities. e.g. BEETLE QUEEN, CRUSTACEAN KING, ALBATROSS, WOOD NYMPH, DIVINE HEALER and SPIRIT OF THE FOREST, FLAME MONKEY, ARMORSMITH etc.
2. Getting extra shield by using Summoners or Monster with Protect ability in the back. e.g. THE PEAKRIDER, TYRUS PALADIUM, DRAKE OF ARNAK, TRUTHSPEAKER, DEFENDER OF TRUTH, CRUSTACEAN KING etc.
3. Increasing the melee attack using Summoners and Inspire ability monsters. e.g. PLADO EMBERSTORM ,MALRIC INFERNO, DARIA DRAGONSCALE, PIRATE CAPTAIN, ENCHANTED PIXIE, BROWNIE etc.
4. Changing the speed (as per battle rules) or having Blind ability to improve the chance of hitting targets or evading attacks by using summoners or monsters e.g. VALNAMOR, PLADO EMBERSTORM, PRINCE RENNYN, CRYPT MANCER, NEB SENI, PYRE, CREEPING OOZE, BROWNIE etc.
Defence
The best way to counter CHAIN GOLEM is by using an equally good tank. Some good tanks to take out CHAIN GOLEM are SEA MONSTER, FROST GIANT, MINOTAUR WARLORD, SACRED UNICORN, UNDEAD REXX, CHROMATIC DRAGON, RED DRAGON, LORD ARIANTHUS etc. Some stretegioes/adjustments can make defending against CHAIN GOLEM easy.
1. Using melee attack buffs from summoners or monsters with Demoralize ability. e.g. CRYPT MANCER, CAMILA SUNGAZER, ZINTAR MORTALIS, MOLTEN OGRE, OCTOPIDER, FALLEN SPECTER etc.
2. Using monsters with Heal, Retaliate, Stun, Rage, Dodge, Thorns, Poison, Affliction, Halving, Piercing and Shield abilities e.g. NAGA FIRE WIZARD, PIT OGRE, HALFLING ALCHEMIST, SERPENT OF ELD, NECTAR QUEEN, LIGHTNING DRAGON, MUSHROOM SEER etc.
3. Giving the tank extra shield by using Summoners or Monster with Protect ability. e.g. THE PEAKRIDER, TYRUS PALADIUM, DRAKE OF ARNAK, TRUTHSPEAKER, DEFENDER OF TRUTH, CRUSTACEAN KING etc.
