Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge: ARMORSMITH Can Make Real Difference

Time for the SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge.

`ARMORSMITH` is a cute common life monster. It has no attack at first levels but have the amazing Repair ability, right from the start. The Repair ability allows `ARMORSMITH` to restore the armor of a friendly monster whose armor has taken the most damage. So, in a sense Repair ability is like Heal ability.

The best thing about `ARMORSMITH` is, he costs just two mana. And being a common monsters, it is also pretty cheap, currently trading at 0.032$/bcx. This makes `ARMORSMITH` a frequently used monster in life splinter.

Shield repaired by `ARMORSMITH` can protect a key monster and which can prove to be the difference in the end.

`Placement`

Since `ARMORSMITH`'s Repair ability is used much like heal ability so it is placed just like healers in the mid ranks well protected from Sneak and Blast attacks.

Ideally, `ARMORSMITH` is placed in the mid ranks along with healer where it would restore the Armor of tank placed upfront or the Taunt monster, keeping the enemy busy and providing rest of the team attacking/breathing space.

`Favored Battle Rules`

Being a Shield mender `ARMORSMITH` is best suited for battle rules that focuses on Shield. e.g. Weak Magic, Armored Up, Melee Mayhem and Lost Magic.

`MY BATTLE USING ARMORSMITH`

This was a 99 mana battle with two battle rules, one Super Sneak and second Melee Mayhem.

`MY LINEUP`

`DARIA DRAGONSCALE`

Since it was a 99 mana battle with only melee attack allowed, so I used `DARIA DRAGONSCALE` summoner. Perfect for using heavy dragon monsters.

I would have preferred `CHANSEUS THE GREAT`, but I don't own it.

`CHAIN GOLEM`

Upfront came the tank, `CHAIN GOLEM`. A furious tank indeed with great attack and health. Also laced with awesome abilities like Shield, Void and Piercing.

`DRAGON JUMPER`

Next came the Opportunity attack master, `DRAGON JUMPER`. Being flying with high speed, `DRAGON JUMPER` feeds on the weak.

`SILVERSHIELD ASSASSIN`

I placed my game winner, `SILVERSHIELD ASSASSIN`. Great Sneak Double attack with Poison, I sometimes wonder why it belongs to Rare class.

`ARMORSMITH`

In the mid, I placed `ARMORSMITH`, for restoring the Shield of my tank or Taunt monster.

`SACRED UNICORN`

On second last position, I placed a legendary monster with healing, `SACRED UNICORN` to serve as a backup protection from enemy Sneak Attacks.

`SHIELDBEARER`

On the last, I placed `SHIELDBEARER`, in order to Taunt enemy monsters and provide protection to the low health monsters like `ARMORSMITH`. Taunt can especially be useful in diverting enemy opportunity attack monsters.

`BATTLE ANALYSIS`

The battle went as planed. The `ARMORSMITH` provided great support to my `SACRED UNICORN` and `SHIELDBEARER`, and kept the enemy busy. Whereas the `SILVERSHIELD ASSASSIN` did the real damage with her poisonous double attacks.

The enemy should have used a Thorns monsters to challenge my Sneak monsters a bit.
