MEMO from the Central Bank: a citizen has minted their own index fund

INTERNAL MEMO — Office of the Central Banker. Classification: Concerning.

It has come to our attention that a private citizen, without filing a single form, has assembled what can only be described as their own index fund — and put it on a blockchain where we cannot conveniently misplace it.

The instrument is called $VG. It lives on Robinhood Chain, it graduated on something called kek.fun (we have no jurisdiction over frogs), and it bundles roughly half ETH with a basket of stock tokens — NVDA, AAPL, TSLA, GME, SNDK, SPCX. In one token. Held in one's own wallet. Redeemable without our permission. You see the problem.

Worse still: the project is transparent. It distinguishes target allocations from verified reserves and refuses to quote a coverage number it cannot prove on-chain. This sets a dangerous precedent. If citizens grow accustomed to honesty about what backs their money, questions may be asked in other places. We need not elaborate.

Recommended response: none available. The ledger is public, the keys are theirs, the maze has no exit we control.

See $VG for yourself:
