Mindful Monday - What's Your Reality...

avatar

It was such a beautiful morning this morning with the bright sunshine and the freshness from an earlier rain. The countryside is ablaze with the fall colors this time of year which had me snapping photos from all directions! Just being out in nature taking in all the wonders put me into a wonderful space, feeling joyous just to be alive!

It was interesting when I came inside my husband had on the news, the covid news. The effects that has on my mind is such a contrast to being outside enjoying nature. It was dark, with all the fears and concerns about the pandemic. This got me wondering to the effects this fear promoting news would have on folks who tune into this for a good part of the day, what kind of mental state would it put you in, especially if you are not aware that it is having those effects on you, it could put you into a pretty dark place.

I find being more mindful of the moment, checking in with myself and being aware of changes unfolding in me, distinguishing where these changes came from, has helped me to live more peacefully and happy, allowing more joy into my life.

I have used tools like meditation techniques to help tune me in to my inner self, building my awareness that I can use throughout the day. Or taking breaks, getting away from cyberspace or the world happenings being presented through media, making a point of getting outdoors into nature and feeling the connection. Also knowing the path I want to be on, the path of awakening, this gives me direction and more purpose. I work at keeping on the path where I find life more fulfilling.

I would like to encourage folks who may be feeling down from all the issues bought about by Covid to give yourself a break, literally! Get away from the news, go out and appreciate what ever bit of nature you may have or just breathe, feeling the life force within you and appreciate that. Take a closer look at what is your actual reality right at this very moment and let go (if only for awhile) of all the cares and concerns bought to you by Covid news.

Ahh! That feels better!

Remember, we are all a part of nature although we may need a little reconnect and we have been blessed with a human life. May that life be a happy and peaceful one!

I have a wish too, that peace and harmony may prevail in this world.
This can all start within your own little world and expand outward, you feel happy and peaceful and that is what will emanate from you so let it spread, making it the prevalent energy in the world!

Peace and Love!

Staying away from fear mongering, hate speech in the news and on facebook, I have found more peace of mind just walking in my little space more often.

I am happy you made the decision for staying away from fear mongering and hate speech!

Are you still in lockdown - restricted to your homes and yards?

We have been placed on level 1, been to the park a couple of times to give Woody and Sarge (my late brothers dog) a good walk.

Still have to wear masks when going out, I agree with them at malls and shopping where there are a lot of people, however do feel it should not be necessary in parks since most are well spaced and our sun is hot, killing virus and germs quite quickly, still take it with for the sake of laws.

Yes I avoid one sided opinions, every story has two sides no matter what, where or when.

Mostly, I avoid any mention of covid and we don't have a TV, so no news. I've found to keep the stress down that I avoid seeking out stressful things. If it's bad enough, someone will tell me, and sure enough, someone always does.

There's plenty of cool stuff happening here on the farm so I keep my mind here...

Curated for #naturalmedicine by @drrune.

Ahhh, those images are so lovely! I too have been going out for walks throughout the pandemic, and I agree, people need to disconnect from the news, and not just because of COVID, the political, social and economic situation worldwide is a cesspool of noise and shadow.

Wonderful simplicity that, eh? Just going out and grounding up!

It is good to get away from all this world of news, disinformation and press has made the world chaotic and that is not good for the human being. We have gone through difficult times and we must not allow ourselves to be crushed by this bad energy that has caused the issue of the pandemic. You have to take advantage of the time to disconnect from everything. Your photos are very nice, I have enjoyed them a lot, I miss my trips to the countryside, too bad I still can't do the same for reasons we already know. But I'm about to escape and breathe better. Blessings and thanks for your good wishes.

Friend @porters, I think you are doing the right thing by connecting with nature, it is a very appropriate way to disconnect from all this madness and all this fear printed in the energy of the collective, it is like a gray cloud from which we must try to get out. I support you because I do the same as you, I escape in the morning to breathe the energy of nature and be comforted by that beautiful sound and with that peace. Your photos are beautiful, I have also taken some on my trips. Have a nice day and blessings to you. I really liked your post.
