π₯§ Kalaochii (ααααΆα‘αααΈ) Khmer Dessert π₯₯ An Ital Recipe For Veganuary
Yesterday I made a Khmer dessert to share with neighbors and our landlord also. Suriname and Jamaican neighbors say this dessert is so delicious. So I want to share this recipe with you all too.

Ingredients For Make Filling
- 1/2 cup white sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup black sesame seeds
- 1 +1/2 cup coconut meat
- 1/2 +1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
Roasted sesame seeds fry a little until looks like brown.
After put a little water and put sugar, stir until looks like brown. Then put salt and put coconut meat, fry it until not have water. Then put roasted sesame seeds, fry it very well, itβs ready.
After it's cool do it like balls.
Ingredients For Make Dough
- 2 cups glutinous rice flour
- 1/8 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups water of pandan leaves
- 1/2 cup rice flour for roasting
Roast flour a few minutes.
Put flour in the bowl and put salt, sugar mix it and put pandan water, stir it very well. After steam it five minutes and stir it one time.
Do like that three times or until cooked. After keep it until cool. If you not have pandan leaves, forget it, no problem, you can put the other color as you like or no color.
After it's cool put roasted flour on it then cut it for make the balls.
Then take one do like that and put filling on it and close it and do it like ball and put roasted flour on it. When we did it we need to use roasted flour also for a good taste.
Now we can eat π.

tokens.This is my kind of desert. I have a bag of glutenous rice flour which I have never used before. But I am afraid to use it in case I fail haha. It sits there waiting for me. I also have a can of pandan liquid in a can but I do not have coconut meat. Do you think I could use something else like dry coconut flakes?
