Let's Try the New Recipe Today; Acehness Milkfish Curry

As usual, meet again on my blog today. This time I would like to be cooking a dish that is quite popular in my house. Aceh Fish Curry, or usually in Indonesia is called the Acehnese Fish Stir-fry Cook.

Cooking Aceh Fish Curry is not that difficult, moreover, the ingredients are quite simple, and you can easily process them by yourself at home.

Aceh Fish Curry is indeed one of the favorite dishes in my province, you can find this menu at every restaurant in every city in Aceh.

On the Aceh Fish Curry menu this time I tried to cook Milkfish, a type of freshwater fish that is usually cultivated at ponds in my province.

The Milkfish has indeed become a daily consumptive citizen, its supply in our provincial markets is never empty, it can be said this is one of the most wanted fish in my city.

So, how to cook the Aceh Stir-Fried Milkfish, let's see what ingredients must be prepared below;

Ingredients

4 medium milkfish (cut according to taste, see picture).
1 lemon.
Salt to taste

Seasonings

8 spring onions.
4 cloves garlic.
1 segment, little ginger.
2 tsp, turmeric powder.
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp, black cumin.
1/4 tsp, cumin.
10 pieces, curly red chilies (according to taste).
6 pieces, cayenne pepper (according to taste).
3 pieces, candlenut.
7 fruit, Asam Sunti (tamarind typical of Aceh; dried starfruit).

Sauteed Seasoning:.

100 ml, oil for sauteing.
3 cloves, chopped shallots.
3 stalks, curry leaves.
4 pieces, halved green chilies.
to taste, salt.
Water.

The steps for making Acehness Milkfish curry

Cut and clean the milkfish, wash and give the lime and salt to taste, stir evenly so that the fishy smell disappears and gives the fish a taste when it is cooked.

Blend the spices that have been prepared, then heat the oil, saute the shallots, curry leaves until fragrant, then pour the blended spices. Stir until evenly distributed.

Then pour the chopped milkfish. Cook with the spices until, add a little water & cook again until the curry sauce releases the oil. Correct the taste when the sauce is boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. Aceh Fish Curry [milkfish] is ready to be enjoyed together with rice at home with family.

NOTE: Asam Sunti is a typical Aceh cooking spice that comes from dried starfruit, Asam Sunti has its own flavor. If it is difficult to get this typical Aceh tamarind, you can replace it with starfruit which is chopped.

I never try a eh dishes but this one look really yummi I wish I could try it, because I love fish and I love curry
