On a personal level, things are a bit rough, only because one situation created a negative domino effect; that is not unique by any means. I have my good days and bad, but I know that in a few weeks, things will be back to normal with some rough patches to come along the way.

My situation is not one that millions haven't gone through, go through and will continue to go through.

Since, I've had to put my workouts on hold; there is much more time for reflection and wallowing. My HIIT sessions under the orange lights are crucial for me - mentally. Yes, it's easy for folks to tell you the common cheer up or man up sayings; but when it comes to a person's mental health - that is hard to comprehend unless you have experienced it.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not professionally diagnosed by any means, but if you know yourself (as you should); it's fairly easy to know what ails you mentally. For some of us, we are lucky to manage that without running to a doctor, popping pills or having to meditate or whatever folks need to get through their situations (totally not judging).

Over 8 years ago, before I began a fitter and healthier lifestyle, a situation that I'm dealing with currently; would have been numbed by alcohol, cigarettes, overeating and/or ahem - substances. I have evolved not to rely on anything detrimental to cure what ails my mental angst.

The two pictures, that I've uploaded from my iPhone10 camera roll for this post:

One was from a Sarasota road trip a few weekends ago with the expansive dark clouds, which I took that at a beach by St. Armand Circle and the other was a selfie I took 2 years ago - today.

The other was from two years ago, June 2020, Tiffany and I continued to remain active; although all the fitness studios were closed, because of the pandemic. That selfie was taken after my morning run, which I would do before going back home and doing the HIIT workouts from home version. It was a few months into the shutdown and still a while away from getting COVID.

March 2021, we got sick and it's been a damn grind since; but we continue to make comeback after comeback. My workouts throughout this time and always, have been my mental stabilizing rock. So into week two of not working out, has been torture.

I'm now five days away from my birthday and another weekend away with Tiffany and her boys. Look forward to Boca Raton/Hollywood Beach. Doctor said we can swim a bit, as that doesn't have an impact to the body as what we usually do. Looking forward to that for sure.

Thanks for the motivation. I really need to learn from you. I need to be healtier as I am getting over 100kg at the moment. I need to make a change in my life, otherwise it will just going to get worst.

It's good to see that you're talking about some of what you're going through. I know from experience that it helps. Hive's been my therapist! LOL.
I'm sure you're going to enjoy the time in Boca Raton with the family.
Family time away is always a good way to keep the mind occupied with fun things!
Thanks for sharing Jimmy :)

We have our ups and downs. The community here is with you both in the valleys and at the mountain peaks.

when it comes to a person's mental health - that is hard to comprehend unless you have experienced it.

You are exactly right. We can pretend to understand, but we really can't have the total perspective and experience of others. Mental health is a big issue these days.

Mind control takes great discipline. By that, I mean controlling the thoughts of our own minds takes great discipline! If we do not control our own minds, someone or something else will - and rarely for our good.
