Neoxian City Photo Challenge: Wood Islands Lighthouse

My entry to the Neoxian City photography challenge. Click Here for more info.

Living on Prince Edward Island I am surrounded not only by water but many lighthouses dot the coastlines. These lighthouses have been decommissioned by the government and taken over and maintained by each community.

Wood Islands Lighhouse is situated on the shore of the Northumberland Strait, PEI. It contained the living quarters for the lighthouse keeper and his family. Inside now is a gift shop and availability to tour the lighthouse.

At one side of the lighthouse, a couple friends are having fun sticking their heads through the lobster and fisherman structure.

Lighthouses are a big part of the landscape here and if you come visit make sure to check them out.
