Rice Paper Dumplings

Hello everyone,
Doing a diet can not be done perfectly. Many people fail on diets because they push too hard, so they can get thin quickly and don't care about their health after going on a diet. Like the extreme diets that we often hear about, this includes diets for celebrities who can lose 4 to 10 kilograms in 1 month.

That's what I avoid, because dieting is not just about an ideal body shape, but an increasing body metabolism, because we have to prioritize health compared to a perfect body shape. Over time, a healthy diet will lead us to a healthy lifestyle continuously.

In the diet program that I'm on, I always make calculations for the food I eat. For example, I always leave 20% of my daily calories for the food I want to eat for mental health, as much as 80% of my daily calories are filled with a meal plan that is in accordance with macro-nutrients.

Because I diet with my husband, sometimes I adjust to his favorite food. He always liked savory and crunchy food, such as fried foods, tempura and many others. For the sake of conformity, I sometimes include foods that are high in fiber and protein, so they can be eaten guilt-free.

You know that tofu is a vegetable protein that is quite easy to get in Indonesia, tofu is a source of protein that is easily absorbed by digestion, moreover tofu is high in fiber which can help shrink your stomach (because it's without bloating). I like tofu because of its delicious taste and soft texture.

I really like tofu, especially fried in Indonesian rice paper, similar to spring rolls but made from rice flour. Tastes savory, crunchy and crunchy when in the bite. This time, I want to make a savory snack that you will definitely like, of course for vegetarians. Hope you guys like this recipe!


Rice Paper Dumplings
The Recipe


To make rice paper dumplings, there are several ingredients that will be used, apart from that, always follow step by step in making rice paper dumplings, use quality ingredients, Hivers!


Ingredients;

  • 10 sheets of rice paper
  • 200 gr of tofu
  • 1pc carrots
  • 3 cloves of shallots and garlic
  • ½ chopped onion
  • 100 grams of sweet potato that has been steamed
  • 3 pcs cayenne pepper
  • Salt, pepper and mushroom stock
  • Canola oil or sunflower oil

How to make rice paper dumplings;

  • Before making rice pepper with tofu filling, prioritize preparing the tofu filling first. Namely washing all the ingredients under running water, then peeling the skin of shallots, garlic and onions. After that, thinly slice all types of onions and set aside.

  • Then, thinly slice the green onions and cayenne pepper, set aside in a clean container.

  • Mix all the ingredients, including the tofu, mashed yam and grated carrot. Add salt, pepper and mushroom stock to taste. Stir all the ingredients together and mix thoroughly.

  • Lay out rice paper on a table that has been cleaned and sterile. Then put 1 tablespoon of the tofu filling on the rice paper. Fold and shape into a square. Then set aside on a plate.

  • Heat canola oil or sunflower oil in a wok pan. Heat the oil over medium heat, stir fry until the rice paper is browned. I put hummus as a dip!
