Hello!

Hey. It is late apple season in Finland, and we were given some apples by an elderly lady in a neighbouring house. We already made some apple sauce from them.

Today we made an apple crumble...

Filling the casserole (tin? pan?):

Recipe

  • Apples
  • (cinnamon powder)
  • (sugar)
  • 75 g butter
  • 0,75 dl treacle
  • 1–2 tbsp wheat flour
  • 4 dl oatmeal

Slice thin-ish apple slices into the dish.

Optionally sprinkle some cinnamon powder (and sugar if your apples are too sour).

Melt the butter and mix in the treacle and flour. Heat until it thickens. Take the kettle off the stove and mix in the oatmeal.

Spread the mix on top.

Bake in the bottom rack at 175°C for 30 to 35 minutes.

After oven:

Custard or vanilla icecream tastes very good with the apple crumble.

(This photo doesn't serve it justice though.)

Later I went for a walk and took some interesting shots with my smartphone...

I hope you liked this post!

See ya!

@gamer00,
Would like to see the outcome of the Apple Sauce. My country Apple is not growing. And due to Covid19, it's already banned to import to the country.
After all nice photography collection via your mobile!

That recipe looks delicious and simple. I loved it. It's a pity that apples are so expensive to buy in Venezuela (I don't think they are available now). Soon I will follow your example to publish recipes, since before yesterday they brought me domestic gas (I had been cooking on an electric stove for 6 months and this is unusual, living in the country with the largest gas reserves on the planet, but the government is useless and nefarious). The photo of the leaf with the raindrops looks beautiful. A great greeting.

Esa receta se ve deliciosa y sencilla. Me gustó mucho.
