First of Many: Hurrah for My Hive Anniversary 💐🎉🤍

Today is my solar return here in Hive - the first of many! 🥺

I have said this lots of times in my previous blog posts/ articles but it is worth repeating - I AM MASSIVELY GRATEFUL TO BE HERE IN HIVE.

I am immensely thankful.
It's not every day that you get the opportunity to share your passions with the rest of the world and get rewarded for it.

It's what they say about love - it will eventually find its way to you so no need to constantly look for it. That's how Hive was for me. It was a usual Saturday and my sister @sassycebuana told me that I can come with her for a seminar on how one can monetize one's blog. Early last year I was keen on getting back to the blogosphere and that seemed like the Universe's way of telling me - girl this is your opportunity are you gonna sit there and wait or are you going to grab this by the balls lol. It was the perfect opportunity for me to have a fresh start a blogging.

It was Ms Gilaine @purepinay alongside the first ones in the Hive Cebu community who were there during the event.

To be honest I did not understand 98% of the discussion because I was a real alien to cryptocurrencies let alone cryptoblogging. But the 2% was at least clear to me: you get rewarded with Hive tokens/coins (with real dollar value when exchanged) when you interact in the Blockchain, e.g.: publishing a post, writing a comment, reblogging posts, upvoting posts, and etcetera. In my head I was like: whoa if this social media kind of platform is not the best then I don't know what is!

I could still remember how excited I was when I penned my first post- self intro! Slowly I explored the communities in Hive and has met lots of awesome people who are passionate in living their lives to the fullest! It's full of energy, this community. 🥰

Since then I loved blogging and sharing insights/lessons around here. And it all comes full circle.

In my one year in Hive, I could say with certainty that I am in knee-deep gratitude!

Last year when I lost my teaching job, my Hive earnings has kept me afloat for two months whilst I was job hunting! 🥺

When the Supertyphoon Rai hit December 2021, I WAS MOVED AND HUMBLED BY THE GENEROSITY OF ALL PEOPLE IN HIVE WHO DONATED to me and my family. Your donations has helped us rebuild our humble home.🥺

Very recently my old 4-year old Huawei phone has given up on me so I did not have a choice but to buy a new smartphone. My Hive earnings I saved up has helped me to make that purchase. 🥺

These are the highlights, I could say. And I cannot count the decent cups of coffee I bought with my Hive earnings (I usually treat myself to coffee + dessert/cake to celebrate small wins and I've been doing that since last year, and Hive HELPED A LOT on that department!) 🥺
