Visit to Castle Žovnek, geocache, pizza, cake - that's what I call a good day

Actifit

Sunday, July 19th 2020. A beautiful day for outdoors activities it was.

First, there was the run -> to the top of Rašica [Exhaust Running Report, July 19th 2020]

Then we went to Csstle Žovnek for some sightseeing and to find a geocache which is hidden near th eruins of the castle.

Castle was abandoned and gradually dismantled in 1816. Now the locals are trying to rebuild it.

After checking out the castle it was time to find the geocache. It was hidden by the mountaineering path some 300 meters away from the castle. A beautiful and big cache it was.

Later we went to Žalec to have lunch. Pizzas at Mamma Mia were fantastic.

On our way home, since that wasn't enough we stopped in Šempeter to have coffee and cakes.
